Mitch Yoshida

Mitch Yoshida is a New York–based makeup artist, born in the United States and raised in Japan.

His eye is drawn to unexpected sources of beauty: the intricate forms of insects and marine life, the textures of the built environment, and the imagery found in historical texts and medical illustrations. He translates these influences into a visual language of color, texture, and shape, creating makeup that feels imaginative yet deeply connected to the person wearing it.

From imaginative expressions to minimal looks that celebrate the beauty of skin, Mitch combines intuition with precise technique. Shaped by both Japanese and American cultures, he looks beyond conventional ideas of beauty to bring each subject’s individuality and the creative vision of every project to life.

Across fashion, editorial, and advertising, Mitch has worked with leading creative talents and internationally recognized figures. His work has appeared in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Dazed, Interview, and Allure, while his clients include Luar, Coach, Adidas, Chrome hearts, Willy Chavarria, and more. He has worked with talents including Sabrina Carpenter, Adriana Lima, Julia Fox, J Balvin, and Natasha Lyonne, bringing a distinct perspective and sensitivity to individual character to every collaboration.
