Born and raised in Finland's Arctic Circle and now based in Los Angeles, Karo Kangas is a makeup artist recognized for her quietly transformative approach to beauty. 

Kangas first discovered makeup while working in a theater group as a teenager, where she developed an early fascination with the power of a face. Today, she regularly collaborates with leading global beauty brands including Ilia, Merit, Shiseido, and Laneige, helping shape the visual language of contemporary beauty. 

Her skin-forward practice spans beauty, fashion, and select celebrity collaborations, including ongoing work with Lykke Li. The signature Karo look reveals the essence of her subjects while celebrating their individuality.
