Tim Dueñas

Tim Dueñas has spent over two decades shaping a career defined by education, innovation, and artistry in the hair industry. In Southern California, he began as an apprentice at Carlton Hair, before becoming an educator for Aveda. His passion for cutting and teaching eventually led him to New York City, where he rose to Master Stylist at ARROJO, refining his expertise in precision straight-razor cutting and progressive styling. His ideology centers on the belief that texture and shape are not separate concepts, but when combined, create a modern, wearable aesthetic.

Tim’s career has taken him around the world. His love for hair had brought him backstage at New York Fashion Week, leading teams and creating trend-influencing looks for designers such as Betsey Johnson, Carolina Herrera, Leanne Marshall, Parke & Ronen, and Lauren Moffatt. His expertise has made him a trusted on-set stylist for television, working on shows like Project Runway, Mansome, Ink Master, and FabLife. Tim’s work can also be viewed on red carpets, with his clientele including Glen Powell, John Oliver, Naomi Scott, Genevieve Hannelius, and Chloe East.

Tim is currently based out of Los Angeles, California, and works alongside his wife and colorist, Tabitha, in their West Hollywood studio. Together, they also founded Essential Hair Academy, an online and in-person educational space designed to help hairstylists build confidence in their technical skills.
